Sunday and in Singapore .... finally
We left Phuket Millenium on time, but our flight was delayed by 2 hours, so we arrived here a lot later than expected. Off to the hotel and a big mess up with our rooms and they wanted to put us in smoking rooms for 1 night! Not on at all - Donna and I in total agreement on this one! Finally 2 non smoking rooms. They offered us free tea or coffee or juice, but we opted for a drink each - $56 for the 4 drinks!!! and then off for dinner at around 10.30 pm Singapore time.
Out for dinner at a lovely restaurant - pasta - then I chewed on something - stringy!! Not too sure what it was, told the waiter, they refunded my meal and assured me it wasn't a cockroach or insect! Said it was a piece from a mussel. I haven't been sick and we saved $26 Singapore dollars, but not a nice feeling.
Off to bed and we all slept in until around 7.45 am. Down for breakfast and then back to the room for a nap - we all fell alseep!! We are so tired.
We have chosen our tours - a night harbour cruise and dinner, the under cover garden tour and a Santosa afternoon/night tour.
Off for coffee, and then we are having another nap before going out for dinner tonight.
We are going to Hooters! Dougie has been talking about it an apparently I wouldn't go last time, so we are going. I believe the waitresses are topless, but not sure. Going will shut him up!! LOL
The internet is very expensive here. I am writing this at the free Mac down in the lobby. I will upload some photos from yesterday, probably tomorrow along with any others I take, so there will be some from yesterday posted in a previous post or I will make a photo page - not sure.
We are enjoying ourselves, still laughing all the time and never at a loss for conversation.
