Yesterday we decided to go to Starbucks after breakfast to get free wi fi. No good, we needed a Singapore SIM card!! Donna and Steve decided to pay for Internet as Steve needed to send an email for work. Guess what.... They are in an executive room and Internet is free!!! That is where I am writing this blog.
We tried to book a night dinner cruise and couldn't get a booking. The only time was Sunday and we will be home. So we decided to have a rest and think about what we were going to do. Donna went out to get some supplies and met someone who gave her the name of a couple of restaurants where we could get authentic food, so we decided we would go to the one that has the crab. Off we went in a taxi a long drive past Changi airport. We arrived at the restaurant which looked to be in a ghetto and it was closed. We laughed and laughed, even the taxi driver did. We then went off to a place on the bay and had a beautiful meal. Crab and corn soup, Donna and Dougie had prawns, Steve had shallot and ginger crab and I had the signature dish black pepper crab. It was a beautiful meal and another hilarious, fun filled night. The thing I am glad about is that it was Donna and not me who suggested the restaurant!! I would still be hearing about it.
Donna booked us to go to Sentosa island for Tuesday.
Tuesday morning and up for breakfast and again much hilarity. Dougie missed his mouth completely and spilt tea all over the table. You had to be there!!
Donna and I are going to see the indoor gardens tomorrow and we will try and find Singapore chicken rice another local dish, somewhere ourselves. Donna threw the paper out with the address of the other restaurant.
