Home safely

We are home, I have done the child protection/vulnerable people workshop and am now home.

Hate to say it, but the washing is on, Dougie watching car races, I am making a shopping list...seems like life is back to normal!!!! C'est la vie. LOL

Back in Sydney

Sitting at the QANTAS club waiting for our flight back to Wagga Wagga.

The plane from Singapore was on time and we got through custome s ok despite the fact that I had found a lavender bag in my case which must have been in with my clothes when i packed to go away. I found it in Singapore and forgot to take it pit of my bag. The. I saw the bit on the customs form about any plants or plant parts, so I felt I should tick yes. Doug thought I was silly but i was frightened i would get caught. All ended ok as lavender is ok. Phew!!

We said our farewells to Steve and Donna and set off for the domestic terminal.

One great trip and adventure.

Waiting to check out of hotel

Our last day in Singapore. We will be packed up in about an hour and a half.

We had our usual leisurely breakfast and then a rest.

Down for an amazing foot and leg massage for Steve, Donna and I, and then Donna and I had a neck, back and shoulder massage. Divine. Steve had Japanese all by himself LOL and Donna and I had Chicken Rice which was yum.

So it is off to the airport and then a couple of hours wait and then onto the plane.

This has been an amazing holiday and I can't believe it is nearly over.

A couple of photos Donna just sent to me. We are sitting side by side with our iPad's!!

Just a last minute photo....Donna and I in the chairs, the boys having a rest. Ha ha ha!!!

And another last minute photo of Dougie from last night at our dinner out. Ha
Py ending, hip, hip, hooray....an in joke!!!!

Last night in Singapore

Dinner was awesome at a seafood restaurant at Clarke Quay. A fitting final dinner. Then up to the 23 rd floor and the premier suite and drinks.

The Fullerton

The boys decided to go to Orchard road to have a massage and Donna and I went to the Fullerton to have a look.

We more than looked, we had a Japanese buffet there. It was awesome. Thanks Donna, I had such a good time.

Photos show some of the food and places, even the toilets there!!

We started to walk along the river then caught a boat back to Clarke Quay right where we are staying.

I had a bit of an accident, tried to go outside on the boat and didn't see the low door and bang with my head. I am ok, a bit of a lump and my glasses cut my nose.

Apparently the shop Dougie was liking for was that sex shop. He went to the hotel where we were staying a d came in from a different entrance.....and yes that was it. LOL

Now having a rest until we go out to dinner.

Thursday/Friday

Yesterday again breakfast and a rest. Dougie and I had a quiet morning, Steve and Donna went out. We decided to meet around 4 pm and try and find of all things a condom shop Dougie assured us he had seen on s previous trip. This seems an odd thing, and there is a funny story behind it which we will share when we are home.

We left later than this and decided we would go to the other restaurant Donna had been assured had the best chicken rice in Singapore - Boon Tong Kee on River Valley Road. So off we went in a taxi and the restaurant was there. The food was great, Donna and I loved the chicken rice and it was quite cheap.

After we had eaten and were just chatting, Steve randomly said 'let's go to the condom shop'. Well, the Asian lady clearing the table roared laughing and said something in her language to other staff who started laughing and then customers started to laugh. It was an absolute hoot. We laughed and laughed.

Then off on a taxi to find this shop. The taxi driver was laughing when where we were going was mentioned. Long and short if it. We couldn't find it, Dougie couldn't remember where it actually was. He had seen it on our first trip to Singapore when he was trying to find an ATM.

Donna took a photo of me in front of a sex shop and thought it was hilarious and was going to tag me on Facebook, but we decided it might not be appropriate. I have managed to save it from her email and it is below!! Glad I can amuse people, LOL.

We had Haagen Dazs ice cream again on Orchard road, then a taxi home.

Another fun filled, hilarious night.

I managed to save the photo of me from the email as I said above and one of Donna's Facebook photos, so will add more from the gardens this way.

I have mastered the saving. The photo below of Steve. Dougie and I was taken before the light show at Sentosa. The others were at Gardens by the bay. I was very scared of the height of the walks, but managed to do it.

Friday...second last day.

We went down for breakfast and sat over breakfast for a couple of hours chatting and now back on our respective rooms having a rest....me blogging!!

Not sure what we will do today and where we will have dinner.....stay tuned for the next instalment!!

Photos from our seafood dinner and Sentosa island trip

Dinner photos after our taxi ride to the restaurant that was closed. Sorry Donna... But it was hilarious!

Check out the cable car and the height we were going over to Sentosa!!
